  • Join an outstanding, supportive team including other therapists, and your supervisor, the Clinical Director to make an impact in outpatient treatment. This team values knowledge-sharing and mentorship.
  • Gain exposure to a variety of treatment modalities, including CBT, DBT and more.
  • Focus on what you do best by taking on a reasonable caseload, including individual and group sessions. You'll have flexibility in scheduling sessions.
  • Take advantage of a broad array of therapies on-site at LAOP, work in an attractive facility in a convenient location and enjoy available snacks and coffee.

This full-time role is from 8 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. The pay range is $100,000 - $110,000 annually, depending on experience.

  • Understanding of counseling and other treatment procedures for mental health disorders with co-occurring substance abuse issues and/or eating disorders.
  • Computer proficiency is required; experience with documentation in KIPU is highly preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and service orientation.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Solid organizational and prioritization abilities.

Under the supervision of the Clinical Director, you will work with the clinical staff in the assessment of client needs, treatment planning, and facilitation. You'll advocate for options and services to meet an individual’s mental and physical health needs through communication and available resources to promote quality cost-effective outcomes. 

Other responsibilities include:
  • Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide quality care to clientele, ensuring safety and best practices.
  • Ensuring excellent clinical care is provided in individual and group therapy and documented for all clients.
  • Consistently communicating and reporting the needs of the clients to the Clinical Director.
  • Effectively interacting/communicating with all clinical and non-clinical departments coordinating care for clients.
  • Ensuring the timely completion of clinical documentation (notes must be done in 24 hours), including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, group notes, and discharge plans.
  • Facilitating comprehensive evaluations and diagnostic assessments upon admission for clients, as assigned by the Clinical Director.
