Are you a compassionate and dedicated LVN looking to make a difference? We invite you to join us at a lovely residential treatment facility in Los Angeles County, CA, as a Full-Time Licensed Vocational Nurse.

This full-time position is in Los Angeles County, CA, and requires on-site work in a residential treatment facility.  Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30AM to 5:00PM. Starting Pay is $32-$35 hourly.

In this critical role, the LVN supports client treatment and recovery by providing competent and compassionate nursing services, medication oversight, and accurate records management across both the residential (RTC) and outpatient programs.

The Meadowglade is a rehabilitation center specializing in mental health and eating disorders and fosters an environment of restorative healing. Our individualized approach to therapy ranges from evidence-based treatment methods like EMDR psychotherapy to creative music and art therapies. To be a good fit for the Licensed Vocational Nurse position, you will have:

• Current CPR/First Aid Certification.
• Current & active Licensed Vocational Nurse license in the State of California
• Current drivers’ license, current automobile insurance, and clean DMV report
• Two-year minimum experience working in a mental health treatment or behavioral health setting preferred
• Experience with KIPU EMR is a plus

Additionally, to be successful in this role, you must be:
  • Dependable - ability to attend each of your shifts, arriving on time and completing your tasks in a timely manner with little supervision
  • Empathetic, positive and professional - interact well with clients, always remaining calm and helpful, but keeping your personal details outside of your role private 
  • Flexible & adaptable - the ability to work effectively in changing situations or routines, including calmness and clarity in crisis situations; good judgment
  • Good attitude and self-motivation - actively support the clients and staff, stepping up and helping where and as needed

Reporting to the Outpatient Program Director, the Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) plays a key role in the medical care and emotional support of clients in a residential treatment setting.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Complete daily SOAP note and ensure records are maintained in accordance with standards of facility and state regulations.
  • Observe clients, charting and reporting changes in clients' conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment and taking any necessary action.
  • Observe clients self-administering prescribed medication and document appropriately.
  • Communicate with IMS physician and other outside physicians where outside referrals may be indicated.
  • Work with physicians and pharmacy to ensure medical/nursing/medication concerns are reported and problems resolved.
  • Input Doctor's Orders and Medication Protocols in EMR.
  • Schedule clients' appointments with the psychiatrist, Dietician, EMDR therapist, etc., send the zoom link to the 3rd party and ensure the client is in the room ready for the appointment at the designated time.
  • Provide training and supervision of clients to support non-clinical staff as it relates to detox and medication protocols.
  • Measure and record clients' vital signs, such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration.
  • Perform inventory check and maintenance of nursing supplies and OTC medication supplies.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and CARF standards.
  • Fully understand and maintain policies & procedures regarding professional ethics, confidentiality, and healthy boundaries.
  • Fully understand our medication management policy and infection control protocol.
