We are hiring an on-call person to cover shifts across our 24/7 operations. Shifts may include 6:30 AM to 3 PM, 2:30 PM to 11 PM, or 10:30 PM to 7 AM on weekdays and weekends. This role is specifically needed to cover any callouts on the aforementioned shifts and for holiday and/or PTO coverage. You will have as much advanced notice of your shift as possible. This hourly position starts at $21.00 per hour, depending on your experience.

To be a good fit for the Guest Services Specialist position, you will have:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service, hospitality or a related position
• A genuine interest in working with the populations we serve
• First aid and CPR certification
• This position requires a valid California driver's license and the ability to pass and maintain a clean driving record check (MVR) in accordance with our company standards 
• Comfort driving an 11-passenger van for outings, clinic pick-up/drop-off, doctor's appointments, etc. 
• Strong verbal, written and active listening communication skills 
• Must be able to lift and carry objects (25 lbs.), such as dishes, laundry and supplies, climb stairs and stand or sit for long periods

Reporting to the Guest Service Specialist Supervisor, you will provide a high level of customer service to adults (clients) living on the property, ensuring they have what they need while following your supervisor's lead and the role's requirements. You will act professionally and appropriately in all of your client interactions, being friendly and helpful, but not a friend. You'll never directly correct clients but will observe and report as required. 

Daily, you will perform various tasks including housekeeping (e.g., doing dishes after meals, taking laundry up and down the stairs, driving the van for shopping trips, transport, emergencies, etc., and facilitating activities). Your essential functions and responsibilities may include:

• Participating in shift briefing with other staff to review any pertinent tenant information, upcoming appointments, and duties that need to be completed.  
• Ensuring the home is neat and tidy at all times. Housekeeping duties include tidying up, washing dishes, light laundry, emptying trash cans, sweeping floors, organizing closets, wiping countertops, etc.). 
• Facilitating activities such as game nights, movie nights, art activities, and nature walks.  
• Transporting tenants to appointments, outings, or shopping trips as necessary.  
• Remaining in the center of the home so that tenants know where to find Guest Service Specialists should they need assistance. 
• Facilitating breakfast by putting out the breakfast foods (muffins, cereal, fruit, etc.) for the tenants to enjoy.  
• Providing a high level of customer service for tenants, assisting them with tasks when necessary.  
• Communicating any facility needs or general issues to the Guest Service Specialist Supervisor. 
• Completing other duties as assigned by the Guest Service Specialist Supervisor.
