You'll divide your time between the two facilities, which are about 20 miles from one another, along a beautiful drive through the Malibu Hills. The pay range is $120,000 to $135,000, depending on licensure and experience, and we offer comprehensive benefits.

Beachside Teen Treatment Center is a tranquil rehabilitation haven for adolescents struggling with addiction, substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. This beautiful residential facility is based in Malibu, California, with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. At Hillcrest Adolescent Treatment Center, our mission is to provide healing resources for adolescents battling substance abuse with co-occurring mental health disorders. Hillcrest's rustic but elegant homestead is set in the lush foothills of Agoura Hills. This rural estate is both private and peaceful, making it an ideal enclave for rehabilitation and healing.

To be a good fit for the Clinical Director opportunity, you will have:
  • A master’s degree and LCSW or LMFT and certification to supervise unlicensed therapists. Quick question for you - click here
  • 5+ years’ experience providing behavioral health services, including 2+ years of post-license practice.
  • Considerable knowledge of modern behavior-modification principles and practices, and cognitive behavior management techniques as they apply to residential treatment programming for individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Considerable knowledge of the behavioral sciences and allied disciplines involved in the evaluation, care, and treatment programming for individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • The ability to:
    • Plan, coordinate, and adapt a variety of treatment program activities to meet the specialized needs, abilities, and conditions of each program participant.
    • Assign, direct, and review the work of subordinate staff involved in the implementation of treatment programs.
    • Collect and analyze information in making decisions concerning treatment for each individual and evaluate their progress towards meeting the treatment goals.
    • Interview, hire, train, and terminate staff.
  • Strong documentation habits to complete all chart-related documents and correspondence for assigned clients due at the end of the day.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Typically, you will spend one full day a week in each location, and divide your time as needed the rest of the time. You'll work Monday through Friday and be on-call 24/7.

As Clinical Director, you will oversee all clinical operations and clinical staff and report to the Executive Director. Your primary responsibilities will include the initiation, development, maintenance, evaluation, and modification of all clinical programs of the organization. You'll also manage and supervise the clinical functions, policies and procedures, relevant staff and delegated activities of the organization. This position is directly responsible for client retention at the facility. More specifically, you will:
  • Serve as a member of the organization's Management Team. The Management Team establishes expectations for the organization, coordinates efforts to meet these expectations, and solves problems hindering the achievement of expectations. You will take responsibility for clinical treatment aspects of the organization’s functioning.
  • Work with the Management Team in clinical program development, implementation, and ongoing management of organization services.
  • Assume responsibility for:
    • Maintaining and operating within the set budget regarding independent contractor hours.
    • Ensuring that the schedule is maintained and updated as necessary.
    • Overseeing the therapists on-site.
    • Conducting 30-day, 90-day and annual formal evaluations for Therapists.
