This is a full-time, Monday-Friday role with pay starting at $20.00 per hour.

To be a good fit for the Janitor position, you will have:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience with janitorial / housekeeping / custodial work
  • 1+ years of experience with handyman work and/or basic household repairs
  • A California driver's license AND the ability to pass and maintain a clean driving record (MVR) in accordance with our company standards  Quick question for you - click here
  • Ability to drive an 11-passenger van
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision
  • A team orientation and ability to work well with teammates
  • Dependability and reliability
  • The ability to interact with clients in a professional manner
  • Must be able to lift and carry objects (25 lbs.), such as dishes, laundry and supplies, climb stairs and stand or sit for long periods

Reporting directly to the Facility Manager, as Janitor, you will help ensure that all general areas and client rooms are "hotel ready" at all times. You will support the facility by maintaining a clean, sanitary, orderly and comfortable environment for the residents (clients), employees and visitors. Specifically, you will be responsible for:
  • Safely operating a variety of mechanized cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, carpet cleaners, etc.
  • The disposal of trash, waste, human waste, bodily fluids, and other disposable materials. You'll empty trash containers throughout the day.
  • Cleaning the kitchen, living rooms, bathrooms, bedrooms, hallways, game rooms, and all areas of the house daily. 
  • Transporting both food and clients in a company vehicle.
  • Light repairs, including fixing a stopped toilet and hanging pictures.
  • Washing, drying, and putting away linens such as bedding, towels, tablecloths, etc. 
  • Completing the monthly inventory of supplies and communicating any additional needs to the Facility Manager.
  • Reporting any needed repairs immediately to Facility Manager (e.g., leaks, loose tiles, broken windows/panes, missing nuts or screws, beds needing repair, etc.)
  • Assisting in daily operations and other operational and administrative duties as assigned.
